HANDS FOR JESUS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Hands For Jesus Christian Mission exists as an independent Christian Mission to bring Christ to the children of Guaimaca, Honduras, and in so doing improve their quality of life — spiritually and physically — as much as possible. These goals are to be accomplished through Christian based comprehensive education. That includes special education for the learning impaired, a feeding program for the students who qualify, and some clothing distribution. Christ-like living and Bible truth will be modeled in all these activities and in the daily life of all the staff members at Hands for Jesus Christian Mission.
Hands For Jesus is a Christian Mission that is wholly funded by gifts from independent Christian Churches and other Christian individuals. The primary supporter of the mission is First Christian Church of Malvern in Malvern, Ohio U.S.A. and the secondary supporter is Indian Run Christian Church also from Ohio. Spencer Christian Church from Spencer, Indiana U.S.A. is also a regular supporter of the mission. The bilingual school seeks to help people of Guaimaca, Honduras by providing a good Christian based education in Spanish and English. Contributions help the under-privileged children of Honduras by providing tuition, uniforms, books and other special needs.
Hands For Jesus Christian Mission is founded and directed by Joyce Carroll. It currently employs a variety of people to teach, tutor, and take care of the property. Presently Joyce is the only U.S. citizen active in the mission. She does not receive any salary for her work. It is important to the Mission that the school reflects the customs and culture of the Honduran people, and it is our goal to work within the customs of the Honduran culture to become better Christians and better Honduran citizens.
For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” ~Matt. 19:13-14
